Bruce W. Maxwell, 60, of Decatur passed away Friday November 11, 2011 at his residence.
A memorial service to celebrate Bruce's life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 16, 2011 at the Second Church of God at 2670 E. Division St. in Decatur with a visitation one hour before at the church. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Bruce was born on November 26, 1950 in Decatur the son of Harley P. Maxwell, Jr. and Patricia Porter-Tucker. He was employed at Dave & Gene's Brake Shop.
Bruce is survived by his brother Jerry Maxwell and wife Pam of Decatur, IL; nephew Jason Maxwell of Farmer City, IL; nieces Tina Leigh of Washington, IN, Melissa Mackiewicz of Champaign, IL and Amanda Maxwell of Decatur, IL.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Maxwell.
